Indian Gold Medal Winners at Asian Games 2010

The super charge led by athletes, boxers and tennis players in the last seven days of the Asian Games not only provided the impetus to the floundering Indian campaign but also scripted a memorable climax as the country recorded its best ever performance at the sporting event.

India ended its campaign in the sporting spectacle in the sixth position with 14 gold, bettering the 13 won at home in Delhi 28 years ago, 17 silver and 33 bronze medals.

The total medal haul of 64 here is also the highest for India in Asiad history as it bettered the 1982 haul in Delhi of 57 comprising 13-19-25.

Nakheel Tower To Beat Burj Dubai

The latest design attempting to breach the dizzying heights of the Burj Dubai has been revealed as the multi-billion dollar Nakheel Tower. Designed by the developments wing of major investment company Nakheel, the tower will be more than a kilometer  high, covering a space of around 270 hectares, and will become home to around 55,000 people, a workplace for 45,000, and is hoped will attract millions of visitors each year.

Nakheel Tower will comprise of four individual towers within a single structure, a distinctive crescent-shaped podium encircling the base and complementing the structure’s remarkable height. The multibillion-dollar development, commissioned by Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, chairman of Dubai World, will also include 250,000 sq m of hotels and hospitality space, 100,000 sq m of retail space and huge expanses of green spaces, including canal walks, parks and landscaping.

Epic: India's First Web Browser

Although there are many number of web browsers available like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc. EPIC is one new browser made especially having Indians in mind, this came into existence by a Bangalore based company called Hidden Reflex. This browser connects to several services and is purely supported by Mozilla Firefox and is made for the benefit of Indian users such as cricket scores, share market news etc..

The main advantage of this web browser is it has an in built Antivirus installed to stay way from malware and Trojans in the computer where the browser takes only just 10 MB of space but the anti virus occupies a space of 25 MB. It supports Firefox add- ons and also had applications consisting of more than 1500.
